About The Event
Join Bountiful Gardens and the NJ Native Plant Society for a fun Friday evening as we celebrate Fall Planting with Native Plants. The evening will start off with a guided tour of our native plant selections followed by informative lectures, pizza and a screening of Sarah Galloway’s award winning film, WILD in the Garden State. Following the film, we will have a Q&A with the filmmaker herself.
WILD in the Garden State is a story that was shot over 10 years showing what happened when a New York City couple moved to New Jersey and replaced their suburban lawn with native plants. This film documents their gardening mis-steps, lessons, and experiences that go far beyond replacing a typical lawn. It’s a story of connecting to the natural world in suburban New Jersey.
This is an ourdoor event so please dress appropriately. Evenings can get chilly in the Fall.
This event is geared towards adults only please.
