Brussels sprouts perform best in cool weather and in fertile, well drained soils and are best after a couple of frosts.
Franklin has been the earliest maturing of the Brussels sprouts so far. It has an added bonus of high quality, firm sprouts. These plants are pretty tall and have less woody stalks so whole stem ahrvest are made possible.
