Dappled Willow 'Hakuro-Nishiki' - Salix Integra
Characteristics: The Dappled Willow thrives in consistently moist soil, but tolerates drier conditions better than most other willows. 'Hakuro-Nishiki" is widely planted because of it's beautiful variegated foliage and unique pink stems that turn red Fall-Winter, providing stunning year round interest. This compact cultivar is low maintenance, fast-growing and cold hardy. Because of its unique semi-weeping form, this tree looks excellent as either a single specimen, accent or focal point. This willow is equally effective in group plantings or as a border. Prune during Winter or early Spring to maintain smaller size.
