Dropping Laurel 'Zeblid' - Leucothoe Fontanesiana
Commonly called Dropping Laurel, this multi-stemmed, broadleaf evergreen shrub has arching branches that bloom waxy, creamy white flowers from the axils in the spring. Leathery, evergreen leaves cover this shrub. Zeblid is a more symmetrical cultivator that is winter hardy and note for its excellent year round foliage! Bright scarlet new growth in the spring emergres from deep green foliage clumps, excellent glossy green mature summer foliage, and burgundy red fall color extending through winter as bronze to purple-red. This shrub loves shade so it's perfect for underneath large trees or in a shade garden!
