This broadleaf evergreen shrub is ornamentally grown becasue of its interesting foliage and spectacular fruit display. Its erect, can-like stems and compound leaves resemble bamboo, while the whitish flowers with yellow anthers appear in the late spring. Red berries follow these flowers and last from fall to spring, providing winter interest!
